Banasura Sagar Solar Plant

Designed to withstand water level variations of more than 20 meters.

Located in the Banasura Sagar dam in Kerala, India, this floating solar plant is a pilot project done with SEAFLEX to test the benefits of using an elastic mooring system. The 0,5 MW plant is located in an area that is affected by yearly floods, so it had to be designed to withstand water level variations of more than 20 meters at time.

This is a great example showing how using SEAFLEX mooring enables installations in areas where it would otherwise be either impractical or impossible to use traditional mooring methods. Click here to find out more about our experience securing floating solar plants.

This project was done in cooperation with Adtech.
