JFlex is an exclusive software for Seaflex and its partners to calculate forces in marinas helping to decide what the mooring system must withstand. It is based on well accepted formulas like the Australian standard 3962-2001 as well as theories from Bruce Tobiason. It takes into consideration wind speed, number of boats, boat size, water level fluctuation, current, waves and the specific design of your marina.
Eventually it decides the number of strands and length of each SEAFLEX unit and it also gives the tolerances for requiring longer or shorter units, or more or less strands in each unit based on the given dimensioning parameters. JFlex is written entirely in Java and will run on most platforms. It automatically updates to latest version when connected to the Internet. With JFlex you always get assured you get the right dimensioning of SEAFLEX units for your specific marina.
Please read about the limitations and intended audience of JFlex before you download the software. |
