Planning a trip to Mexico this summer? Don’t forget to visit this “green” marina!

Poralu, in cooperation with ICMS (Inland and Coastal Marina Systems), has completed this one-of-a-kind marina in Puerto Escondido Bay in Mexico, which will open for business this summer. Set to expand even more in the future, this first phase provides more than 100 berths for boats ranging up to 60 meters in size..

Rémy Benois, Sales Manager for the Americas at Poralu, explained to Marina Dock Age that ““this project has highlighted three values which are in the DNA of our brand: high-end positioning, recyclable modular components and respect for the environment”.

As stated in the article, Poralu decided to replace the original anchor piles with a SEAFLEX anchoring system to “reduce the environmental impact on the ocean floor”. In fact, the whole project has been undertaken with sustainability as a core concept, making great efforts to remove trash from the area and only using the best materials to build the marina.
