Seaflex joins Waves4Power project

Seaflex joins Waves4Power as a strategic partner.

Waves4Power is a project aiming to develop a wave energy converter system and produce environmentally friendly electricity. Being environmentally friendly is one of the core values at Seaflex, so we are very proud to announce that we are joining this project and providing the mooring for these WECs. Seaflex was chosen as a strategic partner because of the unique characteristics of the SEAFLEX elastic mooring system, and will be a participating partner during the entire project. Other strategic partners include Siemens, Petronas and NKT cables.

During spring 2015, Waves4Power will start building a full-scale wave power system for launch on the Norwegian coast late summer/autumn 2015. Two full-scale field trials have already been undertaken with great results. A concept video showing how the system will work can be found here.
