Lake Windermere
At 10.5 miles long
Lake Windermere is part of the Lake Districts National park, a very popular tourist attraction. One traditional attraction is going on a ferry ride on the prestigious MV Teal, a ship built in 1936 that is still operational to this day! Seaflex was chosen as the mooring method for a 20-meter long pontoon, which would be used to accommodate the boarding and unboarding of the ferries and ships carrying passengers across the lake.
Shortly after the installation, in July of 2013, Queen Elizabeth II visited Lake District and took a cruise on Windermere on The Teal, which the Queen last did in 1956!
